A Level German
An interesting and challenging course based on relevant and engaging topics. Students will build up their knowledge of the language in four skill areas ensuring that they can communicate confidently in German.
An A-level qualification in a foreign language opens up avenues to a number of professions including law, journalism, the intelligence service, interpreting and translation.

What is German ?
Studying German at A level is not just about the qualification you achieve, but the vocational skill you develop along the way. Learning another language is challenging, but always fun, exciting and extremely interesting.
Why study it?
It is a myth to believe that the whole world speaks English. More and more job advertisements state that knowledge of at least one European language would be an advantage, and many jobs will involve working with European companies and travelling abroad. A command of German will open doors for you in careers as diverse as law and IT.
