A Level Physical Education

This two year course prepares students for Higher Education and those who want to have a career within the sport and active leisure industry.

Students will cover topics such as applied physiology and anatomy, skill acquisition, sport in society, excercise physiology, bio-mechanical movement and sport psychology. Students will have the opportunity to be involved in sport away from the curriculum.

PE will allow those pupils who wish to progress into Higher Education, following a Sport Degree. It will also give students an opportunity to delve into the endless career opportunities that the sport and leisure industry offers, such as physiotherapy, sports journalism and health and fitness.

What is Physical Education?

Students will develop knowledge and understanding of Physical Education, sport and recreation from the grass roots to the elite level, and the development of competitive sport within society.
