School Transport

The Conyers Paid Bus Routes and Operators are changing

From Wednesday 5 January the bus routes and who operates them for Conyers School are changing.

Stockton Community Transport buses 101, 102 and 103 will continue as normal.

However the bus operator for two of our main paid bus routes has notified the school they are withdrawing their buses at the end of term.  We would like to thank Compass Royston for the many years of service they have provided to the students of Conyers.

M&D Travel has agreed to take on the service in partnership with Delta Coaches.  To make this work given their other commitments,  the routes have had to be reconfigured.  To avoid confusion we have renumbered them.

For the afternoon runs,  a number of buses are doing double runs which means some students will need to wait until 4.15pm before catching the bus home.  This arrangement was in place in the past and has had to be reintroduced to get everyone home.  This will be reviewed later in 2022 if possible.  Students will be able to wait safely inside the school until the appropriate time.

The service remains a pay as you go commercial bus service (£1.50 per journey).

Given the latest Government guidance it is likely students will continue to need to wear masks to use this service .

Students who do not use the new service with due consideration for their fellow students and the driver, will be excluded from the service by the operator.  They will need to find an alternative means to get to and from school.

Please find below a timetable for the new service,  which will commence on Wednesday 5 January 2022.

A half price bus pass (Pathfinder) may be available for public transport services for students over 16 years living within the Stockton Local Authority area please contact Stockton Council for further details on Tel 01642 528499 or via the link below

Please note there is also a train service stopping at Yarm station, within easy walking distance of the school.
