Personal Development at Conyers

Our Personal Development curriculum is situated within the foundation of the school’s wider positive behaviour policy which encourages students to be ready, respectful and safe. The Personal Development Curriculum provides opportunities for students to explore the topics of the relationships, health and sex education curriculum. Furthermore, students are introduced to the Fundamental British Values encouraged to consider their role within both the local community and society as a whole.

Our Focus Day programme compliments the topics covered as part of Personal Development and encourages students to deepen their understanding of selected topics and to challenge themselves to try something new. In addition our Careers Programme provides students with the information, advice and guidance necessary to allow them to feel confident in the decisions they make about their next steps.

We aim for our students to acquire the knowledge, skills and understanding they need so that they are able to make well-informed decisions and prepared for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adult life
