Sequence Discussion
Year 7
Foundation skills are key in year 7 due to lack of the arts practices. Want students to get a range of sources to make them inquisitive and to show their imagination and creative skills through workshops and presented into a sketchbook. We want the students to know how to improve and develop through practical lessons through specific learning outcomes.
Year 8
Students need to keep developing new methods and techniques looking at arts and crafts. Learning processes and how to achieve positive outcomes. To start creatively developing sketchbooks, layout and presentation and understanding the written element and the importance of evaluating and reviewing and reflecting on others and their work.
Year 9
Getting students ready for GCSE doing an identity project which creates independency and develops higher skill set, really looking into artists and the way identity can be portrayed, developing the creative mind. To learn about personalising work through the graffiti project learning more difficult techniques and working with textures and layering. Some classes have 2 lessons and other have 3 lessons a fortnight so some projects are not challenged due to time allowance.
