Assessment Process
At Conyers a student is assessed in curriculum areas regularly to measure progress. If a student is identified as SEND, the SENCo will monitor progress data, making observations of the student and consider classroom work. More formal assessments in school will include literacy and numeracy testing.
Dependant on the area of need further assessments may be carried out by a professional agency, for example, educational psychology, mental health, occupational therapy, specialist learning team.
Students will be considered throughout and outcomes will inform practice within the school and be communicated to parents.
