The sequence is planned to build towards the more challenging units – Paper 2 Language for example. Inspector Calls is placed where summer disruption will not cause too many problems as it is a short text and relatively easy. Romeo is placed later because of the challenge involved. The key idea is to ensure that all topics have been introduced by October of Year 11, so the rest of the course can be about reinforcing key skills and knowledge and revising for exams.
